Quick service, excellent knife

I bought this knife to dive deeper into practicing Japanese cutting technique, and can easily see myself keeping it for life and using it daily. It has perfect weight and balance, and the beauty of a no-nonsense, traditional work tool. It did require a bit of careful straightening and sharpening "to taste" out of the box, after which I'm very happy about its performance.
